Dr. Khojasteh Rad developed the academy’s flagship professional and career-oriented courses, as well as the innovative Pillar English program, which addresses the specific linguistic needs of immigrants. ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Dr Shadi Khojasteh Rad — the CEO and Founder of the Canadian Academy of Language & Culture (CAOLC) — is passionate about empowering immigrants through tailored paths English language and intercultural communication programs she has personally designed. 

An Iranian-Canadian, she studied Teaching English as a Foreign Language, received a Bachelor’s degree, and was awarded the best university English teacher in Iran. In 2009, Shadi immigrated to Malaysia to pursue her Master’s in Applied Linguistics, and Ph.D. in English Language, where she authored over 12 influential books and academic articles on linguistics and intercultural communication.

After immigrating to Canada, she became an Ontario-certified teacher(OCT), Ontario Certified English Language Teacher (OCELT), and an Ontario TESL Trainer. Shadi passionately continued her career in the education industry at prestigious colleges and universities across Ontario, Canada. 

Shadi Khojasteh Rad, Ph.D. is a published author and frequent guest speaker at conferences on topics related to English teaching and linguistic awareness to interpersonal communication. Her articles were featured by prestigious institutions like the Canadian Center of Science and Education (CCSE) and International Journal of English Linguistics.

As a visionary leader, Shadi’s impact extends far beyond the classroom. Her unwavering dedication to education, intercultural communication, and immigrant empowerment makes her a recognized leader in the field and a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in Canada.
